First Monin Cup Bahrain 2024

The Monin Cup Bahrain 2024, powered by myBidfood, was held at Onyx Rotana, showcasing the skills of ten talented baristas from diverse nationalities. The judging panel featured esteemed experts, including Mr. Nana Sechere, the MONIN Beverage Expert for the Middle East, Mr. Felipe Valencia Santander, MONIN Beverage Expert and Dubai Studio Manager, and Mr. Lukasz Lazowski, Beverage Manager at Amriya Group Bahrain. 

The event ran from 10 AM to 4 PM, kicking off with a warm welcome for guests that included signature drinks crafted by our beverage specialists, featuring the new Monin Pure range, accompanied by delicious canapés. Attendees enjoyed a unique 360-degree camera experience, adding to the excitement of the day. 

A masterclass led by Mr. Felipe Valencia Santander set the stage for the competition, where participants were challenged to create four identical drinks in just eight minutes. The atmosphere buzzed with creativity and skill as each competitor showcased their talent, often exceeding the schedule. 

After a thrilling competition, scores were tallied during the second coffee break, culminating in the announcement of the winners: 

• 1st Place: Valeriia Zinchenko (Russia) - awarded BD 500 and the opportunity to represent Bahrain at the Monin Cup final in France on December 3-4, 2024. 

• 2nd Place: Manar Aldoaeris (Bahrain) - awarded BD 300. 

• 3rd Place: Threesha Suvarna (India) - awarded BD 200.
