Bidfood Oman, in collaboration with Oman Aquaculture Company LLC, proudly hosted a culinary workshop at the National Hospitality Institute, Wadi Kabir, to introduce Omani Abalone (As’Sufailah) to the Muscat hospitality market. Recognized as one of Oman’s most prized sea treasures, Abalone — locally known as As’Sufailah — is sustainably farmed in the pristine seawaters of Mirbat, Dhofar, an area celebrated for its marine purity and biodiversity.
The workshop brought together chefs and hospitality professionals for an interactive Abalone Culinary Workshop & Tasting, allowing them to experience its exceptional flavor, texture, and versatility. Attendees discovered how this premium delicacy can elevate menus across fine-dining restaurants, hotels, and specialty seafood concepts.
Through this collaboration with Oman Aquaculture Company LLC, Bidfood Oman continues to support local producers and promote sustainably sourced Omani seafood, showcasing the best of Oman’s coastal treasures to the country’s culinary community.
